Chris Roberts, owner of Glacier City Snowmobile Tours and the Great Alaskan Tourist Trap, invites you to meet his experienced staff and operation. Glacier City’s highly trained guides not only have many years of guiding experience they are also a wealth of information concerning the local history, animal sightings and tracks. Our guides are continually trained in avalanche awareness, advanced CPR and First Aid and most important of all, showing you an awesome time.

Chris & Connie

Chris takes great pleasure in showing off these unique glacial valleys to visiting guests. His motto is "Live Life Large", "and that doesn’t mean going off of your diet!" While Chris is out breaking new trails or running a tour, Connie makes sure that everything goes smoothly behind the scenes. Often she will spring herself from the Trap and join you on your snowmobile tour!

All the staff at the Tourist Trap will help to make your snowmobile tour reservations and arrange other activities for you while you stay in the Girdwood area. Coleen Harrier

Born and raised in Girdwood, Alaska Coleen has pursued every aspect of the great Alaskan outdoors. Whether she’s teaching avalanched awareness classes to high school kids, being featured in extreme snowboard videos, or embarking on multi-week glacier travel expeditions, Coleen is outside doing something extreme. She takes great pleasure in showing people the beauty and grandeur of Alaska’s backcountry.

Luke Smithwick

Luke is a natural born guide! He’s guided whitewater rafting in the Colorado Rockies and Alaska for the last eight years and snowmobile tours for four years. Luke loves Alaska because he says, "There are more mountains than people!" In 2005 Luke climbed Denali, in 2006 he made skied first descents on various Alaskan volcanoes. Whether its skiing or snowmobiling, you’ll find Luke in the backcountry making turns! What’s up for 2007 Luke?
